Upon hearing the Lord’s direct prophecies concerning their destinies, the disciples, both those still on their journey and those fully realized, were filled with joy and exultation. Their hearts swelled with happiness, and their spirits soared with delight. With gratitude and reverence, they turned to the Lord, expressing their feelings in these inspired verses:
O Light of the world, we’re satisfied and true,
To hear this prediction, our hearts anew,
Sprinkled with nectar, our souls take flight,
O Tathāgata, in your wisdom’s radiant light.
No doubt, no uncertainty clouds our way,
Supreme amongst men, we’ll surely be one day,
Today we’ve found joy, felicity so divine,
For we’ve heard the prediction, and the path is now thine.
