Mr. Altig’s Overview of the Wonderful Dharma of the Lotus Sutra

The great teacher Miao-lo said, “You should understand that one’s life and its environment at a single moment encompass the three thousand realms. Therefore, when one attains the Buddha way, one puts oneself in accord with this fundamental principle, and one’s body and mind at a single moment pervade the entire real of phenomena.”

The quote by the great teacher Miao-lo speaks to the idea of the interconnectedness of all things and the idea that one’s life and environment are reflections of the larger universe.

In this world, all is connected,
A single moment, all is reflected.
The three thousand realms, we must see,
Our lives, a part of the larger tapestry.

The Buddha way, we must attain,
To live in accord with this principle so plain.
Our body and mind, a single moment,
Pervade the entire realm of phenomena.

Our thoughts and actions, they do hold sway,
In harmony with the universe, we must stay.
For peace and balance, we all do seek,
In understanding this, our life becomes unique.
