Mr. Altig’s Overview of the Wonderful Dharma of the Lotus Sutra

The Lotus Sutra, a Buddhist text,

Signaling the end of the Vow’s decree.

Shakyamuni touches the bodhisattvas’ crown,

Rejoice and express their grateful fact.
Vowing to spread the Magnificent Law,
Their commitment, three times they saw.

Spreading the Dharma is the way,
To repay debts of gratitude each day.
All beings have the Buddha-nature within,
Realizing this, enlightenment they’ll begin.

The entrustment of the Lotus Sutra’s task,
Continues the Buddha’s teachings past.
Bodhisattvas, carrying the torch of Dharma’s light,
Spreading the teachings, shining bright.

In conclusion, this chapter’s message,
Stands the test of time, beyond any age.
The relevance of the Lotus Sutra, we see,
Continues to guide, inspire, and set beings free.
